Health and Well-being
At Child Aid Papua, the health and well-being of our students are our top priorities. As a boarding school, we are responsible not only for our students' education but also for their physical, social, and emotional development. Through our on-campus clinic, we provide a safe environment where prevention, care, and support go hand in hand. In addition to basic medical care, we provide education on hygiene, nutrition, sexual health, vaccinations, and healthy lifestyle choices.
We also conduct regular surveys to monitor our students' well-being. The results are carefully analyzed and integrated directly into the ongoing development of our programs and support services. This allows us to identify challenges early and take targeted action to best promote our students' well-being and development.
In West Papua, diseases such as HIV, tuberculosis, leprosy, malaria, and scabies remain widespread. These challenges affect not only health but also the educational and future prospects of many children and young people. That is why we focus on prevention, education, and early medical intervention. Our health programs provide rapid assistance for illnesses and injuries while laying the foundation for long-term well-being, academic success, and a self-determined future.
To ensure a consistent supply of medication, hygiene products, and diagnostic and preventative testing, we rely on the support of our donors.
