Child Aid Papua is a non-profit organization founded in Switzerland in 2017. Our primary mission is to operate a tuition-free boarding school in Raja Ampat, one of the most remote regions in Indonesia. Through our six-year junior and senior high school program, children and teenagers from isolated villages gain access to high-quality education, housing, meals, and personalized support—regardless of their financial background. In addition to the standard curriculum, we place a special emphasis on English, information technology, environmental education, marine biology, and practical work experience through projects and internships.
Our goal is to prepare young people for a self-determined life while fostering awareness for the protection of Raja Ampat’s unique natural environment. Since 2019, our operational base has been located in Sawinggrai, Raja Ampat. Projects are implemented on the ground by the Cahaya Anak Papua Foundation. The Swiss organization supports this work through fundraising, strategic guidance, and the provision of necessary resources. We intentionally maintain a lean organizational structure to ensure that as many funds as possible go directly toward the children, teenagers, and our educational projects on-site.
