About Child Aid Papua

Child Aid Papua is a non-profit organization founded on June 21, 2017, in Näfels, Switzerland. Through education, we aim to create lasting opportunities for children and young people from remote communities in West Papua, empowering them to develop their potential and shape their own futures. At the same time, our educational approach fosters awareness, responsibility, and a strong commitment to protecting the extraordinary natural environment of Raja Ampat.

Since the opening of our learning center in August 2019, Sawinggrai in Raja Ampat has been at the heart of our work in Indonesia.Child Aid Papua operates through two closely connected organizations. In Indonesia, the Cahaya Anak Papua Foundation is responsible for implementing and managing our programs on the ground. In Switzerland, the Child Aid Papua Association serves as the supporting organization, helping to secure the resources required for our work.

We are committed to maintaining lean and efficient organizational structures, allowing us to direct our resources where they can have the greatest impact: supporting education, creating opportunities, and contributing to a sustainable future for the communities we serve.
